The governor releasing details on how a new database linking Missouri’s 13-hundred pharmacies will help law enforcement stop meth dealers. The idea is to cut them off from buying large amounts of a cold medicine that’s a key ingredient in meth. A new state rule gives the Missouri Health Department authority to work with cops and pharmacies. They’ll monitor the purchase of the medication and if someone is buying large quantities, police will investigate.
