Harvest means more large, slow-moving farm equipment on the roads. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reminding dfrivers this hearvest season to share the road with farm equipment and be patient. In a statement, the Patrol’s Sgt. Brent Bernhart said “Be patient. Don’t pass unless it’s safe to do so. Many cases what happens is we have traffic crashes that occur where motorists try to pass farmers in unsafe locations.” Bernhardt also suggests that slow-moving farm equipment be escorted by a car or truck with flashing lights to warn on-coming traffic.
