It’s still standing, but an Edina home is so heavily damaged by a fire yesterday it is considered a total loss. It took three alarms of firefighters to get the blaze under control, and at times, according to the Edina Fire Department, it threatened several homes. The house is at 103 North Baker Street. It was reported on fire early in the afternoon, about 12:30. With the help of the Baring and Knox City Fire Departments, the fire was extinguished fairly quickly. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured. The State Fire Marshal’s office will handle determining what caused the blaze.
