As we told you earlier this week, there are a lot of Christmas-themed events going on tomorrow in Kirksville. Besides Santa appearances, events downtown, and two hours of free skating at Leisure World, the days includes the second annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade, which starts at 4:30 p.m. The parade, with the theme of “Warm Hands. Warm Hearts.” is collecting donations of new children’s mittens, gloves, hats, coats or scarves to be donated to area youth. The parade will travel south along Franklin Street.
The day comes to an end with the Grammy Award-winning KC Chorale and its holiday concert featuring classic and contemporary holiday songs. The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., in Baldwin Auditorium at Truman State University. Tickets are available at the door or at Edna Campbells in downtown Kirksville, the cashier window in McClain Hall or online.
