A development plan that would likely bring a new Starbucks and AT&T store to the corner of Baltimore and Normal streets in Kirksville has earned the approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Plans are to tear down the current building, the former home of Kentucky Fried Chicken. THough the replacement building will be almost exactly the same size and shape, it will be set up for two tenants, not one. While contracts have not been signed with Starbucks and AT&T, the plan’s approval was a key step in the process. Next stop: the city council, for final approval.
