Kirksville attorney Paul Jackson has been disbarred by the Missouri Supreme Court over a failure to respond to an allegation of professional misconduct. Jackson was disbarred earlier this month and is no longer allowed to practice law in the State of Missouri. According to state officials Jackson had been served with the filing of an allegation of professional misconduct and that due to his lack of response, was disbarred by default. Weedin declined to identify the allegation of professional misconduct, citing procedures that only make the accusations public once an attorney responds. Jackson can appeal the default decision to the Missouri Supreme Court, which could then allow the allegation proceedings to continue as normal.
