The Northeast Missouri Rural Health Network is expanding the caregivers class it has been holding at the First United Methodist Church. The class, called Powerful Tools for Caregivers, has been well-received and officials say its time to hold it at West Chariton Fellowship Church in Novinger. This will be different than the usual daytime presentation seen in Kirksville and around northeast Missouri. The Novinger classes will be at night, for caregivers who normally work during the day. People who participate in the course will learn on how to focus and take time for themselves while providing care such as coming up with an action plan, relaxation, making better decisions and better communication skills.
