The nationally accredited Missouri State Highway Patrol, one of the most recognized and respected law enforcement agencies in the nation, is accepting candidates for the 100th Recruit Class. This class of new troopers will represent the 100th training class since the Patrol’s inception in 1931. Qualified individuals from all demographics are welcomed and encouraged to apply. The application deadline is April 4, 2014.
The minimum requirements are: possession of 60 college credits, or two years federal active duty military service with an honorable discharge, or two years of POST-certified, full-time law enforcement service. The starting salary for trooper is $3,137 per month while in training. The selection process for the 100th Recruit Class consists of written examination, fitness test, polygraph examination, background investigation, vision and hearing tests, psychological examination, medical exam, and drug test.
