Cardinals Fined

Major League Baseball is dropping the hammer on the St. Louis Cardinals with one of the harshest penalties in league history. The ball club has been docked two 2017 draft picks and issued a two-million-dollar fine for illegally hacking into the Houston Astros’ database. The draft picks, 56th and 75th overall and the money will go to Houston. Former Astros employee turned Cardinals executive Chris Correa accessed Houston’s internal database after leaving the organization. He was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
