House Forms Committee to Investigate Governer

In a statement on Friday, 3rd District State Representative Nate Walker again called on Governor Greitens to resign. Yesterday 12 other Republican House members called for that action. Walker also called upon Missouri House of Representative Speaker Todd Richardson and House leadership to start an independent investigation of all of the alleged felony and any other possible impending charges and concerns surrounding the felony indictment of the Governor. In a news converence yesteday Speaker Richardson said Representative Jay Barnes will chair the committee. The 5 Republicans and two Democrats on the the investigative committee will gather facts in a fair, thorough and timely manner. The move follows Greitens felony indictment last week for invasion of privacy. In addition, the same St. Louis grand jury that delivered the felony invasion of privacy charges is still working, which may indicate that Greitens could face more charges.
