Both Drivers Injured in Crash in Edina

Both drivers in a 2-vehicle crash in Edina were injured. The crash happend about a mile east of Edina on Highway 6 at the entrance to the Knox County R-1 School District at 4:30 p.m. yesterday. A sedan traveling west on Highway 6 collided with a sport utility vehicle leaving the school. The driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries while the driver of the sport utility vehicle received moderatel injuries. That driver had to be freed from the vehicle by the Knox County Rescue Squad using the Jaws of Life, and taken by helicopter by the Air Evac Team to an area hospital.
