Kahoka Closer to Selling Cable TV and Internet Service

The City of Kahoka is is selling its cable TV and internet business. The Board of Alderman have given the mayor authorization to pursue a proposal to aquire the city-owned business from MidAtlanticBroadband of Chantilly, Virginia. The company currently provides service in Potosi and Canton. According to the porposal, MidAtlanticBroadband would install new fiber-optic cable throughout the city, so customers will have improved cable quality and higher internet speeds. As for TV, MidAtlanticBroadband would offer channel lineups and packages similar to what the city provides. A dedicated service technician will handle both Kahoka and Canton. The city currently serves around 750 customers
