Citywide Mobility Plan Gets Support

The City of Kirksville is working toward creating a long-term plan to make Kirksville more friendly to pedestrians and cyclists. The Kirksville Active Mobility Plan, or KAMP, aims to serve as a blueprint the city can use long term as they determine where new sidewalks, bike lanes, parks, and walking trails should go. The plan helps to ensure that the city is fully connected and doesn’t create trails that lead to no where. The City Manger presented the concept to the City Council this week, and they supported the idea. City staff will continue to work on the plan, which will end up back in front of the City Council for improvements and approval.
