Adair County Announces 27th COVID-Related Death

COVID-related deaths now stand at 27 in Adair County. A previously reported 96-year-old female died Wednesday after being released from Boone Hospital to hospice care. She was admitted to Boone July 28. The health department also reported that yesterday’s one day total of 27 new COVID cases reached a high that had not been seen since January. The active case total of 107 is also a number not seen since January.

Other counties in Northeast Missouri are also seeing higher numbers. The Sullivan County Health Department added 5 new COVID-19 cases yesterday for 47 total active cases.

Macon County Health Officials say 63 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last week. There are currently 65 active cases with 2 hospitalizations.

The Sullivan County Health Department, and The Samaritan Hospital in Macon hosted vaccination clinics yesterday.

The Knox County Health Department will hold another vaccination clinic Monday August 9, 2021 from 2p to 6p. Pfizer will be the vaccine, it is available to anyone 12 and up. Call so they can have a dose ready for you you: 660-397-3396!
