The Adair County Health Department confirmed 14 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday which brings the overall count to 3,532. There are currently 41 active
cases, 3,457 people who have left isolation, and 34 deaths. New cases involve females ages 25, 28, 39, 41, 54, 63, 67 and 68. Males are ages 1, 24,
25, 54, and two age 59. Seven reside at addresses with at least one other confirmed case and seven are breakthrough cases. One is employed at an area skilled nursing facility. Of the 43 cases that were active on Oct. 1, 53% were ages 0-30 and 28% were breakthrough infections. The K-12 schools and higher education sectors accounted for 21% each. Upcoming curbside Pfizer vaccine doses and boosters are scheduled at the Health Department, on South Jamison Street, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. today and Thursday this week, as well as October 12 and 14.
