The state has hired a company to try to repair a data breach that was found by a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Distpatch. It’s a problem that may have exposed the social security numbers of 100-thousand teachers in the state. The company will work on improving computer security and provide all the teachers with credit monitoring. Total cost about $4.5 million. The governor has accused the reporter who broke the story of computer hacking, and the state patrol is looking into that.
