Would you like to be a substitute teacher? There’s a shortage of them, and many people think you have to be a trained teacher to be a fill-in.
But you don’t. Next Monday, Truman State is having a workshop to help people learn how to become a substitute. The Department of Education will host the workshop at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 in Violette Hall 1000, and it will also be on Zoom. Those in attendance, the school says, will find out more about the critical need for substitute teachers and get hands-on assistance with the application process.
