Snow emergency went into effect at one o’clock Thursday morning in Kirksville. That means vehicles on snow emergency routes had to be moved to make way for snow plows. The city encourages everyone to stay off the roads until snow is cleared. Some predictions say up to 10 inches of snow with windchils below zero. So plowing will be difficult, especially downtown where you can expect some street closings.
