Training For Chemical Warfare

Kirksville fire personnel have been training to handle some dangerous stuff. They spent two weeks learning what to do if a call involves hazardous materials.

The training covered toxic and flammabale liquids, solids and gases — including what to do if there’s a release of biological or chemical warfare agents.

Kirksville fire department handles about 75 calls a year that involve emergencies with hazardous materials.
