The State Senate has finally approved a new map with congressional districts, so candidates can start filing Tuesday, if the House gives the final approval.
Republican senators wanted to change the maps in Kansas City which is heavily democratic. But the plan approved did not do that.
So with the new maps, it’s thought Republicans will still hold six of the state’s eight seats in Congress.
