A new pandemic policy. No more heavy-handed vistori restrictions in hospitals and nursing homes. At the peak of the outbreak, health care facilities and nursing homes did not allow visitors.
So the state house gave first approval to a bill to keep that from happening again. Republican House members said visitor restrictions meant some patients died without friends or family by their side.
So under the bill, a patient’s spouse, parent or guardian — plus anther person — could visit at anytime during a disease outbreak.
