Get some masking tape. The city of Kirksville says ANY battery that you want to get rid of this Saturday at the hazardous waste drop-off, must have the positive and negative terminals covered with masking tape. Otherwise they will not take them.
The drop-off is for City residents. It’s from 8:00 am and 12:00 pm Saturday at the Public Works Complex, but you have to call the public works department for an appointment.
Items not accepted include latex paint, syringes, items containing mercury, knives, electronics, and computer batteries
