New name for highway in Macon.
A stretch of Highway 63 is now Army Sergeant Hugh Dunn highway. Dunn earned two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star during a battle in Germany where he lost his left hand and part of his arm. He died two years ago at the age of 98.
Road were signs unveiled yesterday. Hugh Dunn is also in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and the Missouri Coaches Hall of Fame.
