Two people injured in UTV crash

Two people suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle wreck on Cedar Avenue at 100th Road, five miles north of Sheridan, in Worth County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened at 2:20 in the morning on Sunday. 20-year-old Donato Chestnut of Maryville was driving a Polaris Ranger UTV, and failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the east side of the roadway and overturned. He and an occupant, 21-year-old Dakota McMahon of Maryville, were ejected. The vehicle hit Chestnut, and then the vehicle hit a fence, an embankment, and then came to rest in a ditch. Neither Chestnut or McMahon were wearing safety devices.
