A Kirksville woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash that happened near LaPlata on Sunday night. The Highway Patrol says 53 year old Wendy Ward was driving a Ford Escape northbound on U.S. 63, two miles north of LaPlata, when the vehicle went off the road and overturned. She was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center.
