A collision occurred on Route OO, three miles north of Milan, at approximately 1:18 p.m. on April, involving a 2011 Ford Expedition and a pedestrian, resulting in serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the pedestrian, identified as Mary E. Baugher, 63, of Milan, Missouri, was seriously injured after she exited a parked vehicle and walked into the path of the northbound Ford Expedition, driven by 18-year-old Johnathon M. Stanton, also from Milan. Baugher was transported by Sullivan County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment, she was later airlifted to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Baugher was pronounced deceased shortly before 1 am on Monday.
