Suspect detained after threat of violence at Macon schools

Macon County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office says yesterday morning local law enforcement was notified of a threat of violence towards students at Macon R-1. Thanks to swift action by the Macon, MO Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and deputies the threat has been contained. One subject has been detained in regard to this matter. There is no longer an active threat towards students or staff at Macon R-1.
