MoDot says weather permitting, as early as March 26, pavement improvements are scheduled to begin on 18 miles of westbound U.S. Route 36 in Marion and Ralls counties, from 0.7 mile west of U.S. Route 61 at Hannibal to 0.5 mile west of Route Z near Monroe City. This work includes pavement repairs, shoulder improvements, resurfacing and diamond grinding. Initial work will include pavement repairs between 0.9 mile east of Route H to Route Z at Monroe City. In early April, overnight ramp closures are scheduled for the westbound U.S. 36 ramps at the Route Z interchange in Monroe City. The closures will occur between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
