Governor approves budget bill

Governor Mike Kehoe signed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 supplemental budget bill, HB 2014, that was passed by the General Assembly. The bill allows for current operations of state government to continue through FY 2026. HB 2014 totals over $3.1 billion, including $516.8 million in general revenue, $1.9 billion in federal funds, and $670.3 million in other funds. The supplemental budget bill includes funding for several high priority areas:
$180,000 for child physical abuse forensic examination claims
$3.7 million to provide high-quality, specialized care for children and youth with intensive needs
$10.4 million for employment services to assist individuals with physical or mental disabilities
$73.8 million for World Cup Federal Grants, including $14.2 million for the counter-unmanned aircraft systems grant program
$86 million for St. Louis Tornado Disaster Relief
$132 million for HR 1 implementation
$830 million for SEMA disaster spending authority
