Two Phone Scams: A Bogus Roofer — And Callers Pose As State Patrol

A scam alert put out by the Macon county sheriff about a roofing business.

It’s called Prime Frame Roofing, and the business has been calling residents, but the sheriff’s office says it cannot confirm the business is legit, and the phone number provided doesn’t work.

And a warning about a phone scam from the state patrol. People are getting calls that say, there is a warrant for their arrest and only way to avoid being locked-up is to give the caller money

The caller-ID even says “Missouri State Highway Patrol” — but it’s a trick — the patrol does not call if you have a warrant and they don’t ask for money on fhe phone.
