No sex pictures in school libraries.

A ne Missouri law took affect Sunday that makes it illegal for the school libraries to have book with sexually explicit images .Violating the law is a misdemeanor that could carry a year in jail or a fine of $2,000.

More Roads Close For Water Tank Removal

Some more streets will close starting Tuesday, August 30th, as work continues to tear down the old Water Tower in Kirksville. Parts of West McPherson and Jefferson streets that surround the water tower will close through this Sunday.

Main Street between McPherson and Jefferson closed on Saturday to make room for equpment.

Police Need Help To Find A Flasher

Police say he walked into a Walmart and a Hobby Lobby earlier this summer and exposed himself to customers.
He’s wearing a mask in the pics. The suspect appears to be white with long black hair that goes to the bottom of his neck and he has a black beard.

Police estimate is age to be somewhere between 18 and 35. He’s driving a dark gray or silver Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab.

Moberly Man Charged With Making Threats In Phone Call

Police say a Moberly man lost his cool and made threats in a phone call to his wife’s place of work, Valley View Health and Rehab.

53 year old Rickey Ridgeway arrested for making a terroist threat. Police say he called the facility to speak with his wife, but when he was told she was not available he threatened the person on the phone, saying that he would blow that person away.

Wood Leaves Missouri Senate Race

Dropping out of the Senate race. John Wood, a Republican running as an Independent, says he’s quitting the race. That leaves Republican Eric Schmitt and Democrat Trudy Busch Valentine.

Wood says he did not have a path to victory. And, more than anything, he’s just glad the disgraced former Governor Eric Greitens did not get the Republican nomination.

Pictures Of Possible Thieves At Truman State

Truman State posted surveillance pics on their Facebook page of three people they believe broke into cars on campus early Sunday.

Items were taken from several cars that were parked in campus lots. The Truman police department hopes somebody recognizes the people and calls with a tip.

Change Of Plans On Water Tank Removal

The company that was supposed to start taking down the old water tower in dowtown Kirksville — has been delayed on another job.

So instead of the work and street closings starting on Monday — it will be put off a week. The project now set to start on the 29th.
