AAA says the price in Missouri is averaging $4.65 a gallon. In Adair and surrounding counties, it’s about $4.59 a gallon.
President Biden is proposing that we stop paying the 18-cents/per gallon gas tax for awhile to save a little money. Congress has to approve. But even some democrats are saying, the tax holiday won’t help much. And some industry analysts say it could backfire and drive prices up.
Meantime, on July 1st here in Missouri, the state gas tax will rise from 19-cents to 22-cents a gallon.
